Your Shamanic Journey

A Way for Your Spirit Guides to Communicate Their Message

The Shamanic journey is an ancient technique that has been practiced all over the world. The journey takes place when the shamanic practitioner consciously chooses to go into a state of trance to contact an individual's spiritual guide. When the journey is completed the Shamanic practitioner can then return back to ordinary reality bringing with them the information that our spiritual helpers have for us.

Entering Into Trance

The drum is one of the most effective ways to create brain-wave synchronization and enable a Shamanic practitioner to connect to our spiritual guides. There is a well-known experiment conducted by Andrew Neher, a professor of psychology, that shows how the rhythm of the drum acts as an auditory driving mechanism that modulates the subject's brain waves into alpha or theta states. The wavelength patterns of the left and right hemispheres of the brain synchronize to rhythmic sounds of approximately 220 beats per minute sending the brain into trance.

When I journey I listen to a recording of a drumbeat through headphones to help me go into trance and journey. This is an opportunity to leave behind the physical world and enter the realm of very helpful and loving spiritual guides.

Accessing Non-Ordinary Reality

Non-ordinary reality is a term that is used to describe the spiritual realms that are accessed by the shamanic practitioner. In this space, the practitioner has access to our spiritual guides and teachers and can question them to receive valuable information. While they may use different words to describe the place they journey to, shamanic practitioners from different cultures from all over the world describe similar experiences when they perform ritual and travel to and from the spiritual world.

Communicating with Spiritual Guides and Teachers

We all have spiritual guides and teachers who love us and are willing to help. They are available to assist each of us when called upon. They act as our spiritual allies in non-ordinary reality, communicating what is needed and providing us with valuable information. This act of communication can be compared to a lucid dream state where the dreamer has multi-sensory experiences and interacts with others.

When I undertake a shamanic journey for you, my experiences tend to be very visual. I can use these images and other information that I receive from your spiritual guide to create your Shamanic Portrait.

Documenting Your Spirit Guide's Message

Upon completing your shamanic journey, I will write up a report documenting the experience, which I will present to you during a telephone consultation. After the consultation, I will send you a copy of the report. This report can be sent by U.S. mail, faxed or emailed to you. I will also send a copy in an acetate sleeve along with the finished art in the event you would like to attach it to the back of the finished piece of art as a reminder of the journey.
